Doc Harrison Book Series Acquired by Stellar Productions

Los Angeles, California – June 29, 2017

#1 NYT Times Bestselling author Peter Telep has sold the rights to his new young adult science fiction book series Doc Harrison to writer and executive producer Bryce Zabel, former president of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and CEO of Stellar Productions, a company he founded with his wife Jackie.

Zabel, no stranger to science fiction properties, created and produced the cult classic televison show Dark Skies for NBC. He has written and produced such shows as Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and The Crow: Stairway to Heaven.

Recent projects for Zabel’s Stellar Productions include partnering with Europe’s StudioCanal and Non-Stop producers The Picture Company to produce The Last Battle, a forthcoming feature film and true story of the last combat of World War II in Europe. Stellar is also partnering with Maze Runner franchise producer Gotham/Principal to produce Captured, the true story of Betty and Barney Hill (the famous UFO abduction case).

The Doc Harrison series will follow our young hero as he and his ragtag friends battle across four worlds against an all-consuming group of evolved humans known as the Armadis and their relentless warriors, the Masks of Galleon. The series will draw heavily from films such as The Chronicles of Narnia, Mad Max: Fury Road, Avatar, and Wonder Woman.

Telep and Zabel will cowrite the TV miniseries bible.
